TAI KWONG YOKOHAMA BATTERY INDUSTRIES SDN BHD has achieved the ISO 1400:2004 (Environmental Management System). This project began last May 2006 and successfully obtained certification on 30th March 2007. A ceremony was held on 28th May 2007 to celebrate that achievement which also coincided with Yokohama's 40th Anniversary. It was an eventful day for all.

It is a great achievement for a battery manufacturer to implement the Environmental Management System in being a world recognized environment-conscious company. it is also one among most companies who is preserving thier work environment and consciously taking care of environmental related issues.

We trust with this internationally recognized ISO 14001:2004 certification, it will enable the company to move towards a better work environment and build a strong team who is conscious of thier work environment and surroundings. Also, the system implementation that as been carried out such as 3R programme and recycling projects from time to time, brings the company towards a sustainable development of the environment.
